This year we left the cold of Minnesota for a nice vacation in Cancun! 85 degrees and sunshine, a great escape. But the sun and heat was not the best part of the trip. The food was! Above is a ‘Mixed Ceviche’ with fish, shrimp, crab and octopus. Fresh and tasty, ceviche became a food of choice for Kristen. This is something I will be making here at home in the near future.Along with ceviche we had some amazing fresh seafood. This platter at a local restaurant was our favorite. How did we find this place? Well we were walking along Tulum avenue in downtown Cancun when Roberto stopped us. He was a shop owner along the avenue. We ended up buying some souvenirs and asked him where we should have a late lunch. He walked us to the restaurant and had a beer with us before heading back to his shop.
