Football, cool weather and chili just seem to go together. As you have seen from some previous posts, brisket is becoming my favorite meat to smoke. So this week when making chili I used some left over brisket for the meat. I also had some left over flank steak so that went in as well. This was one tasty batch of chili!!To make the chili here is what I used:
- 1 can chili beans
- i can kidney beans
- 1 onion diced
- fresh tomatoes, dices
- chicken stock
- left over brisket and flank steak, cut into bite size chunks
- jalapeno, diced
- 4 T chili powder
- 1 t oregano
- salt
- pepper
Mix everything in a large pot and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer for a couple hours. Serve with cheese, sour cream and hot sauce. Enjoy!
