The pumpkins are carved and ready. I got the ideas this year from Marvin who sent me some Calvin and Hobbes snowman cartoons and I think these turned out pretty good!
It is a bit cold and windy but we are looking forward to having lots of kids stop by for some trick or treating – we normally get around 150 kids so it can be busy! Our friends Rindy and Aaron are coming by to help out and have some supper.
It has become somewhat of a tradition to have soup on Halloween. Something easy to prepare and you can eat anytime. Nothing formal for this Spooky night…
Kris and I both thought the White Bean Kale with Sausage was the best of “Soup Week” so that is on tap for tonight. Kris also found a great drink to go along with Halloween – Caramel Apple Mimosas from delish.com – and these are tasty! A must try for the fall season!!
I took the pic a bit early and did not have the glass rimmed with the caramel yet. The caramel vodka is really good and makes this taste like a caramel apple!
Cheers!!
